Enemy Purposes

This is a list:
attack
harm
suppress
help

These are purposes:

attack
harm
suppress
help

This is step 3 of a doubt formula:

Decide on the basis of “the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics” whether or not it should be attacked, harmed or suppressed or helped.

You are given a list. Are the items on this list your items? One of them was an item for me, “help”. The other items on this list are not my items. But when you are asked to do this condition, you are given this to choose from and you must choose one. Because this is considered “standard tech”.

What if you don’t have purposes to harm attack and suppress? Then you are expected to mock them up. And you are supposed to do this for the sake of “ethics”. So, people can just get restimulated into this or mock up these purposes and over time you get a group of pretty mean people. And a lot of harming attacking and suppressing going on.

Then you can buy more auditing to handle these “purposes” you mocked up that are harmful purposes!

What I did was, I extended this list so my items were on the list. I have other items that work for me in dealing with people that do not involve harming attacking or suppressing them. If you have your own methods, you can extend the list too and put items that are yours on the list.

If you look at a grade chart the awareness characteristics that aligns with clear is CONDITIONS. That is where a person should hopefully become aware of conditions. It worked for me. But I see no reason to put the ethics book on someone who not a clear because then you are going to tell them things and you are going to give them lists and if that person is not up to speed as a P.C. and listing, and knowing about items or wrong items, you are going to have someone doing things and saying things because you told them to or enforced it on them. You can also summon up purposes that can get in their way between them and their fellow man.

I hope this is helpful to someone else.

Duplication

understandingBy Calvin Duffield

Doesn’t it seem strange, that ‘this’ discovery, by the ol’ man, demonstrably remains probably and singularly, the most un-inspected, unsuspected and troublesome, of all datums? Not just scientologically, but affecting ALL of our joint existence, across every spectrum of life?

Putting it another way…. isn’t the concept of “as-isness” just another term for ‘duplication”?

I would go as far as to say — that every single ARCX experienced by anyone, involves MIS-duplication, of either A, R, or C, of one kind or another. Hardly surprising, is it?

So naturally, it goes without saying, that any WELL trained auditor, of course, should recognize this instantly, but it it is one of those strangely ‘flighty’ datums, that seems to evaporate, just when it’s inclusion, would obviate sooooo much unnecessary communication and Dev -T and often resulting ARCX’es.

For an in-depth look at this, let’s peruse The AXIOMS of DUPLICATION, as given by Ron in the book of basics — “0-8″

But lets begin with Scn AXIOM 28 (the exact formula of communication)

AXIOM 28: “COMMUNICATION IS THE CONSIDERATION AND ACTION OF IMPELLING AN IMPULSE OR PARTICLE FROM A SOURCE POINT, ACROSS A DISTANCE, TO A RECEIPT POINT, WITH THE INTENTION OF BRINGING INTO BEING AT THE RECEIPT POINT, A DUPLICATION AND UNDERSTANDING, OF THAT WHICH EMANATED FROM THE RECEIPT POINT. (please note that ‘duplication’ PRECEDES understanding!)

The AXIOMS of DUPLICATION.(item VIII of The Axioms of S.O.P. 8-C) p.141.

FUNDAMENTAL: The basic action of existence is duplication.
LOGIC: All operating principles of life may be derived from duplication..

AXIOM: Communication is as exact as it approaches duplication.

AXIOM: Unwillingness to be cause, is monitored by unwillingness to be duplicated.

AXIOM: Unwillingness to be an effect is monitored by an unwillingness to duplicate.

AXIOM: An inability to remain in a geographical position, brings about an unwillingness to duplicate.

AXIOM: An enforced fixation in a geographical position, brings about an unwillingness to duplicate.

AXIOM: Inability to duplicate on any dynamic is the primary degeneration of the thetan.

AXIOM:Perception depends upon duplication.

AXIOM: Communication depends upon duplication.

AXIOM: In the MEST universe, the single crime is duplication.

FORMULA VIII: The primary ability and willingness of the thetan to duplicate must be rehabilitated by handling desires, enforcements and inhibitions relating to it on all dynamics.

There you have it folks; The ‘magic wand’, that people are searching for, that can make their problems “as-is”, or disappear!

Just “too simple” to grasp, evidently! doooo-pli–cate! 🙂

Alteration & Evolution?

[Moderator Comment: Thanks to all for the great response on contributing articles. As I’ve made my way through the various blogs and forums around the world one sees how fractured Scientology actually is. Relative to most other things in the world the entire community is pretty small but intensely fractured nonetheless.

The various broad categories have been discussed on this and the others blogs: From those who want to be as close to KSW as possible to the other extreme of the haters and the nothing-good-has-ever-come-out-of-any-this crowd.

But for those who are still Scientologists and are practising is some form or another there is a new question which I’d like to address. This is in particular for those who are seeking a version of Scientology that is “exactly as Ron intended” or “that hasn’t been altered”.

A few days ago The Oracle posted a comment which is what finally prompted me to Continue reading

How David Miscavige Does It and How We Got Played

dmcob

By The Oracle

In an interview with the Saint Petersburg Times published October 25, 1998, David Miscavige reveals his success to power: “People keep saying, ‘How’d you get power?’ ” Miscavige said. “Nobody gives you power. I’ll tell you what power is. Power in my estimation is if people will listen to you. That’s it.”

The link for this interview is posted at the bottom for reference.

He implies in this statement, that people are eager and willing to be led by him, possibly even hopeful, and therefore he gifts them winning commands.

A closer inspection of the facts over the past 30 plus years tells a different story.

Start conversations

communicateThis blog’s purpose is in it’s title “Back in Comm”. In this purpose we seek to reach two general groupings of people:

  • People who have become disillusioned with official Scientology and who then begin the process of looking. Those in doubt, in other words.
  • People who have left and find themselves separated from a community which played such an intrinsic part of their lives for a long time and wish to be in comm with other similarly situated people.

It has been wonderful to see the lively debate and discussion on the last article posted which was provided by Tony DePhilipps. It is very clear that this sort of discussion is needed.  We went back and had a look at our more popular articles, the ones that attracted the most participation. The most obvious conclusion from this is that stories of a personal nature and those that tackle specific areas of Scientology have a far greater volume of communication.

We therefore think this should be something we focus on.  While the scandal that has become the official church may be of public interest and something we will certainly keep an eye on, if we are to “get back in comm” we should be communicating more.

We would like to re-iterate an article we posted back in January titled “Want to help get back in comm? Become a contributor!” In this post we invited contributors to put forward articles for the blog.  Immediately following this we had great contributions from a number of people. But life gets on with itself and these tappered off.

Judging by the comments on the last article, many people have a lot to say.  Don’t let important stories get buried in the comments, let’s give these issues proper air time!

So, again: Anyone is free to submit articles. Of course they should align with our mission statement and moderation policy. Articles can be anonymous, nom de plume or in your own name. Other than this there is no restrictions on topics.

We would love to hear from you, as often as possible! Send your stories to scnafrica@hushmail.com

Notes on my Decompression

The following was sent to us by Tony. We believe it has value as many are walking or have walked a similar journey

Decompression: 1. In general, the removal of pressure.

I’m about 4-5 years into my decompression from corporate Scientology. It has been a somewhat painful experience but very beneficial too. Here are some tips that have been helpful to me. Hopefully they might be helpful to someone else. This article is aimed at people who have been involved in Scientology.

  1. Stay true to your stable datum unless you talk to someone who you consider rational and you decide to let go of it yourself.
  2. Find a reliable source to discuss your beliefs.

I went through a lot of trial and error on this one. Part of the problem is that in corporate Scientology you aren’t really allowed to fully examine and think for yourself about the parts of Scientology. When you get out of that environment the flood gates really bust open and you are deluged with opinions. Not to generalize too much, but I felt it was helpful to categorize the options for help.

  1. a) Blogs. Blogs have been a great source of information & camaraderie for me. I can recall when I first came out I could hardly pull myself away from my computer. I quickly found out that some have value but some can become a blood bath of evaluation and invalidation. I still do feel that a lot of the suppressive personality tech has some workability here. It does no real good to get into long arguments with people about whether this or that is true if they are doing it in a hostile manner. I recommend not getting into it.

How much service can you give the world?

Most everyone who reads this blog has probably seen the quote about “when buildings become important someone please blow up central head-quarters.”

This is from a lecture by LRH in Dec 1960. This quote did the rounds by email in and around 2008 and has been used fairly often since then.

Below is the extract from the lecture. It is interesting to hear it as given. There can be no doubt that if LRH remained true to this view he would never approve of what became the ideal org strategy. The comments about service are also enlightening. In one minute we see how modern official Scientology has completely reversed these importances.
